SunMed’s Design Objectives
Indizium was tasked to build 2 units of digital iOR and a Telemedicine Command Control Centre (TCCC) for Sunway Medical Centre. Indizium’s design iOR is an integrated operating room solution that utilizes digital and emerging technologies for the benefit of the patient, surgeon, OR staff and the facility as a whole. The digital iOR can improve patient care by enhancing efficiencies within the operating room, improving surgeon control in the operative environment and providing necessary solutions for medical teaching and telesurgery collaboration purposes

Client Profile
Sunway Medical Centre (SunMed) is a private hospital offering specialised and tertiary care services. It is located in the heart of Bandar Sunway, a well-developed self-contained township in Selangor Darul Ehsan.
SunMed offers professional clinical expertise and experience, advanced medical technology as well as trained and dedicated nursing staff to cater to patients’ healthcare needs. Patients have access to a wide range of facilities and medical technologies for out patient, in-patient, specialty care, health promotion and 24-hour emergency services. SunMed’s primary concern at all times is the comfort and speedy recovery of its patients. Every staff member is committed to providing a high standard of healthcare within a conducive, caring and compassionate environment.
The Challenges
The new iORs are about half a kilometre from the command control centre, and have limited floor space in the operating suites.
Our Solution
Indizium completed a Telemedicine Command Control Centre with 2 integrated digital OR for Sunway Medical Centre. The Command Control Centre is capable of connecting to other hospitals, universities or other world-class research centres for medical related education programs. It is connected to the other iOR via the fibre-optic network for lossless signal transmission.
