The OtoSim™ 1.2 software to include a section on Pneumatic Otoscopy that included two videos of eardrums moving in response to positive and negative air pressure. This attachment is easily inter-changeable with the regular ear on the standard OtoSim™ unit. Students can use the attachment and interact with their instructor the same way they are used to with the regular OtoSim™. Through hands-on insufflation and otoscopy experience, students can enhance their skills and confidence in proper use of the pneumatic otoscope.
PneumatoSim™
PneumatoSim™ is a Pneumatic Otoscopy Training and Simulation System attachment which is easily inter-changeable with the regular ear on the standard for OtoSim™ unit.
The PneumatoSim™ consists of:
- OtoSim™ Pneumatic Otoscopy Simulation software, which is easy to install and displays the moving eardrum and pressure graph
- Special Pneumatic Ear with a pressure tube, made of the same durable material as the regular OtoSim™ ears
- The Sensor Unit, which communicates with the OtoSim™ Pneumatic Otoscopy software and the external ear to measure and display the pressure applied by the user
